Movies are a way for people to escape from their lives for a few hours. They provide entertainment, fun, and sometimes eye-opening experiences to the viewers. Everyone has a favorite movie or a handful of movies that they love to watch and most people know the names of some of the most successful movies ever made.

However, there are a number of famous films that almost never happened. Some of these films include the Oscar nominated movie ‘The Fighter’ starring Christian Bale and Mark Walhberg, ‘Apocalypse Now’ directed by Francis Ford Coppola, and James Cameron’s ‘Avatar,’ the record holder for the number 1 box office revenue in the world.

These are all great movies that should be watched on, and appreciated even more, movie night. ‘The Fighter’ and ‘Apocalypse Now’ almost never happened because the movie studios didn’t want to invest money into making these two films because they thought the subject matter wouldn’t be popular in mainstream society. ‘Avatar’ almost never happened because James Cameron didn’t think that the technology would be up to the point that he wanted to engage the audience in the way that he wanted.

However, all three of these movies were successful and are beautiful pieces of art that every movie watcher should enjoy.
